Warranty, Exchanges and Returns

At Arborwear, we take pride in doing everything we can to help you live in and love our durable, comfortable apparel and become part of our Arborwear family. One way we do that is to stand behind our products.

**Due to the influx of exchange and refund requests during the holiday season, it may take a few extra days for processing. Thank you for your patience during this time.**

To exchange a clothing item or pair of boots for a different size:

It’s important to us and to your safety that your outdoor clothing and boots fit properly.  To make this easier, if you need to exchange an item for a different size (or for another item of equal or greater value), Arborwear now offers free exchange shipping within the continental U.S.  We will provide you a free exchange shipping label and ship the replacement size back to you at no charge.*  Please note that all items to be exchanged must be new and unworn, with their original tags or packaging (including boots, which must be in their original box).

All sales of items from the Bargain Tree are final. No returns are accepted on these discounted items.

  2.  An Arborwear Customer Care representative will send you an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) with Fed Ex return label within 1 Business Day.

Please note that a typical exchange takes approximately two weeks to process from start to finish, including shipping time.

To return a clothing item for a refund:

We want you to be happy.  If you purchased a clothing item from Arborwear and you’re not happy with it, you may return it to us for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.  As a small business, we regret that we are not able to pay for your return shipping.  All items to be returned must be new and unworn, with the original tags or packaging.

Items purchased with a company logo or any type of customization are non refundable or exchangeable.

All sales of items from the Bargain Tree are final. No returns are accepted on these discounted items.

We suggest you ship your item(s) with a service such as FedEx that will provide you with a tracking number, insurance, and signature required upon delivery.  Arborwear is not liable for lost inbound packages.

As soon as we receive your returned item, we’ll send a refund request to your bank.  Please note that some banks take seven to ten business days to process and posts these refunds.

If we’re unable to refund your original payment method (i.e. due to a closed account, credit card no longer valid, etc.) we’ll instead issue a store credit.  If you return a gift for which there is no record of original purchase, we’ll issue you a refund for the item’s last selling price in the form of an Arborwear gift card.

To report and return an incorrect or defective clothing item:

In the unusual event that we shipped you an incorrect or defective item, please contact our Customer Care team at 888-578-TREE (8733) or info@arborwear.com.  We’ll make things right and pay for your return postage for the incorrect or defective item. – OR –

To return a pair of boots for a refund:

Proper footwear is important to your comfort and safety. All boot brands sold by Arborwear offer a six-month warranty for manufacturer defects. For a full refund, boots must be new, never worn and returned in the original box.

Boot Warranty

If you purchased a pair of boots from Arborwear and are experiencing one of the following manufacturer defects, please return the boots to us within six months of your original purchase date for a replacement pair or store credit. Please note any alterations, modifications, repair work or add ons will void warranties. With a replacement boot, the warranty timeframe is based on the date of original purchase.

Boot manufacturer defects may include:

  • Stitching in leather upper or seams coming undone
  • Hardware failure (hooks snapping off or eyelets popping out or ). Note: Some select brands do not include eyelets in their warranty but may offer your repair services.
  • Midsole defects (shank failure such as snapping or squeaking)
  • Outsole delamination (cracking of outsole, layers of sole separating, tread failure, shredding or falling off)
  • Waterproofing failure. Note: Abrasions, punctures, or cuts to leather voids waterproofing warranty.
  • Toe box pain caused by steel toe misplacement (crooked)

Issues not covered by manufacturer warranty include:

  • Laces breaking
  • Frayed webbing or worn stitching due to normal wear
  • Insole and outsole abrasion due to normal wear

For clarification on manufacturer defects, photos can be emailed to info@arborwear.com.  So that we may successfully process your return with the boot manufacturer, it is important that you describe the defect clearly and accurately.  Warranty claims are left to footwear manufacturer’s discretion. Please include a copy of your original invoice.

  4. Alternatively, if you live in or travel to Chagrin Falls, Ohio you are welcome to return your boot purchased from Arborwear.com to our Arborwear flagship retail store free of charge. Boots must NOT be worn into the store so our staff can review the warranty claim. Receipt required for all warranty claims, including if purchased online at arborwear.com.

If you believe your product is defective, please email a completed Warranty Return Form to us at the below address. The following photos of the defective footwear must be included. To save you time and re-work, please be sure photos are clear and full include the subject requested:

  • Product in its entirety
  • Internal footwear tags showing style number and size
  • Bottom of soles showing tread
  • Defective area
  • Proof of purchase within 12 months from the original date of purchase from an authorized seller
  • If possible: shoe box and label showing size and style information.

To return or exchange an Arborwear item purchased from another retailer:

If you purchased an Arborwear item from a retailer other than Arborwear (i.e. Amazon.com, Backcountry.com, Dick’s Sporting Goods, etc.) please contact that retailer to return or exchange your item.  You will need to follow their return or exchange process.  Thank you.

The Arborwear Limited Warranty

We want you to have the best experience possible with our honest, hardworking clothing.  Arborwear warrants our products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.  Any Arborwear product with a defect in materials or workmanship will be refunded or replaced at our discretion.  Damage due to improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, and material breakdown associated with extended use will not be covered.  This limited warranty does not extend to items purchased from the Bargain Tree section of our website.

Please don’t send us your dirty laundry.  By law, garments returned for warranty inspection must be washed and clean.  Thank you for your cooperation.  Our whole team appreciates it!
