Keeping me warm at the South Pole
I've been wearing my wonderful thick (and heavy!) hoodie here at the South Pole, Antarctica and at Summit Camp, Greenland where I do construction for the United States Arctic and Antarctic Programs. Nothing beats that great big hood for keeping the wind from nipping my nose and cheeks. And it's warm enough that it often serves as a coat over a few layers of shirts.
